The 6th International Symposium PAIN in the BALTICS 2017

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 6th Symposium PAIN in the BALTICS 2017 held in Kaunas, Lithuania, April 28-29, 2017!

I hope you enjoyed visit in Kaunas. Despite the inclement weather you have had sightseeing of famous and historical places in the city and spent a good time in the beautiful Zalgiris arena, where the biggest regional event of pain medicine took place. The symposium gave you the opportunity to learn pain medicine updates from the most famous experts in the world directly. Many of you presented lectures and posters or participated in discussions, as well.

Four plenary sessions and one of short communications both two practical workshops and poster session have been conducted during the symposium, and almost 250 participants from sixteen countries have attended. Thirty oral lectures and thirteen posters have been presented at the symposium, and the journal “Skausmo medicina” has published forty abstracts. The ensemble “Avevita” of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences has hold the show and entertainement. However, the most important apart new knowledge and skills you achieved at the symposium was that you have met friends both built new friendships and experienced incredible impresions.

I am sure, the participation in the 6th International symposium „Pain in the Baltics 2017“ has become an important event for you. And I wish you all the best in professional life and overall success!
