Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our great honour to welcome you to the Nordic Orthopaedic Federation (NOF) Congress, which will be held on 7–9 September 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The NOF Congress has become a nice tradition of bringing together the orthopaedic and traumatological specialists from all around Nordic countries. Nevertheless, more and more international leading experts and colleagues from other countries become active participants of every NOF Congress.
The Congress Scientific Committee will put their efforts to schedule the high-level Scientific Programme in hottest orthopaedic topics at the moment. You are welcome to be a part of it, submit your Abstract for Oral or Poster presentation now.
We hope, that in year 2022 the COVID-19 epidemic will be manageable, and we will meet in Vilnius to enjoy Congress as well as Lithuanian blooming and refreshing spring.
We wish to all of us many meaningful discussions and memorable moments of togetherness.

All abstracts should contain a title, full names and workplace of the author(s), city, country and email address. Text of the abstract, including the title, should not exceed 3 000 characters without spaces. Submissions must be in English. Do not use commercial drug names. The names of drugs should be referred to by the active substance.

Use standard abbreviations where appropriate, any unusual abbreviation should be presented in brackets after the full term as used for the first time in the text. All abstracts will be reviewed. 

Accepted abstracts will be selected for Oral presentation or Poster presentation and published in the Congress Online Abstract Book with ISBN code. 

HOW TO SUBMIT:

- In order to submit (any number of submissions) you will need to set yourself up as a New User and provide your contact information
- Select “Submit Abstract” to add your submission(s) to the system. The system will prompt you for the required information
- You will be asked for your preference of presentation format – either oral or poster
- Please submit abstracts only in Microsoft Word (.docx) version

The official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

NOF2022 Organising committee hopes everyone who registers for the congress will be able to attend. However, we know extenuating circumstances do occur. 
The Cancellation and Refund Policies are as follows:

In case of Delegate Registration cancellation will strictly adhere to the following Cancellation / Refund Policy:
- All cancellations must either be submitted online on the Delegate profile page or sent in writing to NOF2022@eventas.lt
- The notification about cancellation must reach the Congress Secretariat 7 calendar days before Congress for a full refund less than 10 euro handling fee;
- If the written cancellation reaches the Congress Secretariat less than 7 calendar days before Congress, half of Delegate fee will be delivered to the Delegate;
- Refund will be processed after the Congress, after 9 September 2022.

In case of the Congress cancellation will strictly adhere to the following Cancellation / Refund Policy:
- Full refund will be delivered to the Delegate, if the Congress is cancelled by the Organizer or due to Force Majeure.

ARRIVAL TO LITHUANIA

Lithuania is easily accessible via various modes of transport. The infrastructure here is well developed, moreover, the country is not large and it is easy and convenient to travel between the major cities. The airports are typically 15–20 min. drive from the city center and the local and international bus network is extensive.

 BY PLANE

There are three international airports in Lithuania that connect the country with a number of European capital cities and some major international air travel hubs outside of Europe.

Palanga International Airport (PLQ)

Most airlines arrive at Vilnius International Airport, the main airport of Lithuania. Kaunas International Airport receives mostly low cost airlines, such as Ryanair. Palanga International Airport, located near the seaside resort of Palanga, mostly offers short and mid-range routes to destinations in Europe. This airport is the smallest in the country and is a convenient gateway to western Lithuania, the beach resorts and the seaport of Klaipėda.

 BY BUS

A number of large international bus companies with an extensive route network operate in Lithuania. There are frequent bus connections with most European capitals and some other large cities from the main Lithuanian cities - Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda.

Coming to Lithuania by bus is an easy and convenient option. Bus is also a good choice for visiting neighboring countries, Riga-Vilnius connection being particularly popular with several daily departures.

 BY TRAIN

Vilnius train station is an important railroad junction. You can reach Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Poland leaving from Vilnius by train. Vilnius Railway Station is situated next to the bus station not far from the Old Town of Vilnius. Vilnius Train Station is conveniently connected to Vilnius International Airport by a special railway shuttle line.
