Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Lithuanian Child Neurology Association, it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 18th Conference of the Baltic Child Neurology Association (BCNA), held this year from May 15–16, 2026, in the historic city of Kaunas, Lithuania.
As we gather in the spirit of professional collaboration, our scientific program is designed to address the most pressing challenges and advancements in our field. This year, we will delve into a comprehensive range of critical topics, including:
• Fetal Neurology: Exploring early brain development and intrauterine influences.
• Genetics: Navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of genomic medicine in pediatric care.
• Sleep Medicine: Understanding the vital role of sleep in neurological health and development.
• Neuromuscular Diseases: Reviewing new therapeutic horizons and diagnostic standards.
• Epilepsy: Sharing insights on complex management strategies and innovative treatments.
• Neuropsychiatric Disorders: Bridging the gap between neurology and behavioral health.
A central theme of our meeting will be Time and Timing in Child Neurology. In our discipline, time is often our most critical variable—from the urgency of early intervention during neurodevelopmental windows to the lifelong timing of chronic disease management. We will explore how "timing" guides our clinical decisions and shapes the long-term outcomes of our young patients.
This gathering in Kaunas is more than a series of lectures; it is a vital forum for the Baltic community to bridge the gap between global innovation and local clinical practice.
We look forward to an inspiring two days of collaboration and discovery.
Warm regards,
Milda Dambrauskienė
