WELCOME FROM COURSES CHAIRS

We are delighted to welcome you in Kaunas for the advanced training courses dedicated to endoscopic ear, sinus, and skull base surgery. These sessions are designed to enhance your knowledge, refine your skills, and bring you closer to the latest advancements in this exciting and ever-evolving field.

Our courses aim to provide a comprehensive learning experience, covering both the theoretical foundations and practical techniques required for mastering endoscopic surgery. Whether your focus is on the middle ear, lateral skull base, sinuses, anterior skull base, orbit, pituitary fossa, or the craniocervical junction, we are here to guide you every step of the way.

A special emphasis is placed on hands-on training, allowing you to work with fresh frozen cadavers to simulate real-life surgical scenarios as closely as possible. In addition, expert-led lectures, anatomical demonstrations, and live dissections streamed on Full HD monitors will enrich your learning experience.

These courses bring together a diverse group of professionals, including otorhinolaryngologists, neurosurgeons, head and neck surgeons, and skull base specialists. This creates a unique environment for collaboration, idea-sharing, and networking among peers who are equally passionate about advancing their expertise.

We are confident that your participation will not only deepen your understanding of endoscopic techniques but also empower you to apply these skills to improve patient outcomes.

In the context of the meeting, we would like to show our city Kaunas with wonderfull people living here. In 2023 Kaunas has received the most important recognition not only for the city, but also for the country as a whole - the city's name is on the UNESCO World Heritage List - "Modern Kaunas: Architecture of Optimism, 1919-1939". It gives global recognition to the Naujamiestis and Žaliakalnis areas, with more than 1 500 unique interwar buildings. We hope you will have an opportunity to get to know us better!

We wish you an engaging and productive learning journey. May these courses serve as a valuable milestone in your professional and cultural development!

LITHUANIA

If you think Lithuania is somewhere in South America, think again. If your eyes are fixed on a map of the Balkans, press another key on your keyboard. So where is Lithuania located? The lyrics of one of Lithuanian songs say it’s in the middle of Europe – and indeed, those are not just song lyrics. Using the method of gravitational centres, researchers at the National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information in France established that the geographical centre of Europe is in fact found in Lithuania. The nation is only a few hours by plane from other European capitals and can also easily be reached by coach, train or even boat. So welcome to this country of Northern Europe, to the very centre of Europe… to Lithuania. More information: Lithuania Travel.

The country has preserved many pagan and folk traditions that are still alive in villages. On the other hand, big cities are rich with vibrant cultural life and endless entertainment opportunities. There are numerous museums that have accumulated huge collections, national and private art galleries, the never-ending buzz of theatre and music halls, fascinating nightlife, a variety of entertainment options and sports events.
